The high school years are a time when young people continue to develop their individual faith and build upon their relationship with Christ. Not only are they determining what they believe, but they are also developing an understanding of how their faith in God impacts their daily lives.
Teenagers are frequently faced with difficult decisions. We seek to provide them with a foundation for making good choices through study, opportunities for spiritual growth, fellowship, support, and by modeling the way of life we hope they will choose. We plan events and activities during the year that provide them with a variety of opportunities through which to express their faith.
Bible study provides the students opportunities to grow in their faith. Three different Bible study opportunities occur during the week: Youth Alive on Sunday morning, Tuesday Night Together (TNT) and Sunday on Site (SOS) on Sunday evenings. We also encourage senior high youth to participate in worship. The Senior High Choir leads music every week at the Celebration Worship service. By singing in the choir or playing instruments, youth are able to express their faith in God through music. This involvement also allows them to be contributing members in our faith community.
We design activities to create a Christian atmosphere for fellowship and fun. Social events, retreats, lock-ins, and a ski trip allow young people to build friendships in a supportive and healthy setting. We emphasize Christian mission and outreach to the community. In addition to a yearly mission trip, we encourage participation in local service projects.
All senior high programming has the specific goal of promoting Christian values in a secure environment where all youth feel that they belong and are valued members of the group. We invite you to join us.
