The Board of Deacons administers various outreach and caring ministries in the church. One of the new initiatives of the Deacons is our "Network of Caring." This is an effort to secure the participation of many church members in sharing the various caring ministries that are performed by the Deacons. In addition to administrating the "Network of Caring," the Deacons are actively involved in caring ministries to individual members through geographically-centered Parish Care Groups. Another new initiative of the Deacons is the Shepherd Program for new members, which involves helping new members become more familiar with the opportunities for worship, service, education, and fellowship in our church. The Deacons also host occasional church-wide fellowship activities and an annual Autumn picnic.
